Taste of the White House Soiree

Nearly 170 guests savored HealthLink’s inaugural “Taste of the White House Soirée”, featuring the humorous banter and culinary delights of former White House Chef, Walter Scheib.

The evening blended a premiere culinary experience with merriment as Chef Scheib recreated delicious and memorable White House fare while sharing stories and recipes of his eleven years as White House Chef. Guests relished the four course meal that included: delectable Sesame Crusted Halibut, created especially for Chelsea Clinton, zesty Tequila Glazed Smoked Angus Tenderloin as expertly prepared for George and Laura Bush, a mouth-watering Manchego Tamale Tart, and Scheib’s signature homemade Honey & Lavender Ice Cream.

Sponsors included Timoney Knox, LLP, Abington Health, Bailard, Glenmede, and HealthLink’s Board of Directors. Flowers for Every Occasion donated the gorgeous centerpieces and the Kristi Lynn Quartet serenaded guests with festive musical stylings throughout the evening. The soirée was set at the stunning Manufacturers’ Golf and Country Club.

The “Taste of the White House Soirée” celebrated HealthLink’s 10th Anniversary and honored its founders, the Eugene Jackson Family. HealthLink is a free clinic providing compassionate, quality medical and dental care to uninsured, working adults in Bucks and Montgomery counties who fall in between the health care cracks. Over the last 10 years, HealthLink dispensed $4.7 million in free medications, treated over 33,200 patients, and provided 54,000 service hours valued at $2.5 million from medical, dental and administrative volunteers.
